I’m jazzed about interactive notebooks. They seem like a wonderful idea. Last year I made little flip books that my students took notes in. Next year I’m going to expand the idea into the interactive notebook. This summer I’ll be playing with my notebook and planning pages. I’m planning an “All About Interactive Notebooks” post about my ideas and such, but I didn’t want to wait to share!
My plan is just to start this project with sixth grade. I see them twice a week, so I have just a bit more time with them. Also, the sixth grade teachers work well with me and I know if the students need to finish up something they will be flexible and work with me!
Here’s are my first doodle pages connecting note values and fractions. I’d love feedback!
Here is the musical math page to print, cut out, and paste in. Students could also simply write the problems into their notebook.
Feel free to use this in your own classroom, but please do not steal it and pretend it is your own because that’s not nice.
